Founded by Keith and Betty in 1990—when this stretch of Clearwater Avenue was still dirt and tumbleweeds—they believed in the future of the Tri-Cities long before its growth began. In early 2025, ownership passed to Benjamin Sullenger, who proudly continues this 30+ year legacy. Under his leadership, Tri-City Lumber remains committed to the same values, relationships, and standards that built its reputation—while preparing for the future of building in our community

Doug has been with Tri-City for 30 years. He leads our procurement and quality control team. His ‘Doug-Approved’ philosophy means every piece of lumber is hand-inspected for straightness, moisture content, and structural integrity before it ever leaves our yard.

Jeff Maynard has 25 + years in the construction industry as a General Contractor and in Contractor sales. He’s great with take-offs for residential and commercial projects, and is also in tune with the market and purchasing strategies. He loves working with contractors on their projects, big or small.
Alex Palmer has been with Tri-City Lumber for 3+ years and has helped grow our retail store into the bustling and curated place it is! He makes sure we have what you need, and if we don’t, he can figure out a way to get it!
